Course Overview
This Portuguese Language course is designed for beginner learners with no prior knowledge of the language. The course introduces students to essential vocabulary, basic grammar structures, and everyday expressions used in Portuguese-speaking contexts. Emphasis is placed on developing fundamental skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing through practical and communicative activities.
Learners will engage in interactive lessons that focus on real-life situations such as introductions, daily routines, shopping, and simple social interactions. In addition to language instruction, the course explores key cultural aspects of Portuguese-speaking countries to enhance communicative competence and cultural awareness.
By the end of the course, students will be able to understand and use basic Portuguese to communicate effectively in simple, everyday situations.

This course is intended for beginner learners with little or no prior knowledge of the Portuguese language. It is suitable for students, professionals, and individuals who wish to learn Portuguese for academic, professional, travel, or personal purposes. The course is designed for adult learners and young adults who are motivated to develop basic communication skills and gain an introduction to the cultures of Portuguese-speaking countries.

UFCD 6452 – Me and my daily routine: Explore vocabulary and expressions related to daily activities, routines, and personal habits.

UFCD 6453 – Eating habits, culture, and leisure: Delve into food, cultural practices, and leisure activities while expanding your conversational skills.

UFCD 6454 – The human body, health, and services: Learn essential vocabulary about the human body, health-related topics, and accessing services in Portuguese-speaking contexts.

UFCD 6455 – Me and the job market: Develop language skills necessary for navigating the job market, including discussing professions, job-seeking strategies, and workplace interactions.

UFCD 6456 – My past and present: Reflect on personal experiences, discuss past events, and confidently express yourself about your life journey.

UFCD 6457 – Communication and life in society: Hone your communication skills for various social situations, including expressing opinions, making requests, and participating in everyday interactions within Portuguese-speaking communities.
Catálogo Nacional de Qualificações (anqep.gov.pt) Projectpeople Academy – as a promoter entity, provides this course in partnership with regulated entities and the Qualifica Centers network. Courses are monitored for validation and certification.
PLA (Português Língua de Acolhimento) certificates.
Once the learners complete their course successfully, they will receive a valid certificate (applicable for nationality).
How would this be issued?
Learners receive their certificates by original paper printed version (Stamped and signed by the respective authority). It is free of charge to all learners .

Classes Online: Live classes (for migrants in Portugal only). Learners must have reliable internet access and be able to use a laptop, phone, or tablet.
